The Party Continues

by sara on February 21, 2011

And the party continued.  This time, we had reservations for the banquet room of Maggiano’s because we’re a big friggin deal and we have tons of mafia ties.

We needed bouncers to keep the riff raff out.  You know who I’m talking about…unwanted cousins.

Did I mention that Evy is a big deal?

We started off the meal with a classic Maggiano’s salad.  I could have eaten twelve bowls of this.  But then they brought ziti to distract me.

The baked ziti had an orange tint to it.  Oh wait, that was my bad photography skills.  The ziti was delish.

This was the chicken.  I didn’t have any but I’d be willing to put money on the fact that it probably tasted like chicken.

The spaghetti and meatballs.  By the time it got to me they had slopped it all over and there were no meatballs.  WHY DOES IT SAY MEATBALLS WHEN THERE ARE NO MEATBALLS?  Paper jam.

The tiramisu was awesome.  It had perfect custard like texture and the chocolate piece/sauce was amazing.  I could never go on a diet because of things like this.

Cheesecake.  Gross.  I don’t like cheesecake.  It must be ground up mushrooms.

My brudder and my moms actin like a buncha bustas.  Actually this is the only normal picture he took all night.  31 years old and still afraid of being scolded by his mommy!  HAHA!

These three sisters are Foodgarbl’s newest readers!  YAY I’m up to 5!!!!  Can you say Google ad revenue?

Family photo time!  My cousin Angela and her husband Romano couldn’t make it and we were saddest pandas 🙁

And of course the obligatory crazy face picture.  This was actually the first picture we took and no one said to make a crazy face.  It’s just the natural reaction my family has when we take a family photo.  (ex. Sara, “Tony family photo quick!” Tony, “DERP!”)

Evy and her adorable granddaughters.  She doesn’t look 90 does she?  I swear this woman has not aged in my 29 years.  The secret?  Flossing every night.  And ice cream.

Then, we tried to recreate this photo from our 1991 Family Reunion.

Um…nailed it?  I love how my grandmother is holding her arms out like we are special bunnies in her little garden.  We’re special alright.

The birthday girl was flat wore out after the day’s shenanigans.  We gave her a cucumber mask, tucked her in and put her bedside radio on smooth jazz and called it a night.
