A Change of Scenery and My All Time Favorite Dessert – NYC

by sara on July 30, 2012

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Chelsea.  Apparently we were in the flower district because at night we would come back to our hotel looking like this:

And by morning it looked like this:

Here’s a view from the other angle at night (early evening):

And in the morning:

We couldn’t stand around and shop for plants all day because we had important things to do like eat some more.  This time, we hit up Creperie on the lower east side. You may remember this from the Throwdown episode with Bobby Flay.

I’ve never been able to answer the question “what would you want to have for your last meal?” until I had one of these crepes.  It was hands down the greatest dessert I have ever had.  I think not only because it was so unbelievably delicious with the bountiful strawberries, bananas and nutella but also because it was HUGE.  It was the dessert gift that kept on giving.  Which was awesome because I didn’t want it to end.  Please note the Diet Cokes as we were on a diet.

It was even gift wrapped with more nutella on top.  If you do one thing and one thing only in NYC, go to Creperie.  You won’t be sorry.  Just go for a run first.
