Chinatown Walking Tour And OMG So Many Randoms – NYC

I don’t think this guy understands planking, can someone explain it to him?

I don’t think this guy understands yoga, can someone explain it to him?

I don’t think this chick understands the purpose of a dog, can someone explain it to her?

I can’t make a joke here because this man was homeless but for some reason I felt compelled to take his picture.  He looks like he has such a history living in NYC.  I would give anything to be able to sit down with someone like this and hear their story of how they grew up and why they are now sitting in a park in Chinatown in the middle of summer dressed in full winter clothes.  I am really scared of face biters now though and with some of these people you never know.

At the same park these old women were playing cards.  It was the most adorable thing I have ever seen and I’ve seen a panda sneeze on youtube.

This might look like a bomb ass concert, but it was all I could do to keep a straight face while they played.  Imagine the worst karaoke you’ve ever heard, now multiply that by one billion.  I don’t even know if those were real instruments.

The purpose of our trek to Chinatown was to try Mei Li Wah’s pork bun.  You know you’re at an Asian restaurant when there are drawings or pictures of the dishes on the wall.

We ordered one baked bun and one steamed bun.

As you can see they forgot to take the paper off the steamed bun.  Oh well, for $.80 what more do you want?

These were good and for $.80 ea, I could definitely see this as a staple in my diet.  And people say you can’t eat cheaply in NYC.  They clearly don’t know shitake about bun.

Jason was lol’ing b/c he knew I was trying to take a picture of the bridge club behind him but Canon couldn’t help but focus on that cute mug.

I don’t know what scraping and cupping is but I’m fairly certain it’s not normal and some kid is going to need those snow globes back.

Way to be subtle Super Wang Bakery.

You hop, IHOP, we all hop for Wo Hop.

They’re coming along on the new Freedom Tower.  It’s gonna look pretty epic once it’s done.

In Dallas we have nowhere to park our yachts so this was super convenient.

I have a fascination with clouds lately.  I think I’ve been looking down at my iPhone for so long that I forgot to stop and enjoy the scenery in life.

I tried to tone down the cuteness in iPhoto but this is the best I could get.

Captain Trendy called and wants his red bike/suit/hipster bag back.  Seriously though, how awesome is this dude?

Fact: I ate at least 75% of the paper wrapper on the first bun before I realized it. Shit was awesome with or without paper. What part of the pig can you cook and serve in manhattan for $0.80?
