I’m Free! I Can Do Anything!

After over a year of working in the wrong job , I was finally able to walk away on Friday.  I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am and how excited I am to find a new direction.  I have no idea what I’ll do next but I am fortunate to be able to take a step back and try to figure it out without panicking.  Below is a shot of the sky on my drive home.  It was the perfect sight for what I was experiencing.

I came home to these clowns who were super excited to see me.  Unfortunately it was nearly 100 degrees so all I could do was walk them around the block.  Then we came back and sat in the front yard to talk about what everyone did all day.  Riley said she slept mostly but once she got up and went in the bathroom and looked at the delicious things she could drag out of the trash can but then remembered that time we yelled at her so she went back to the couch and fell asleep.  Enzo said he did a bunch of crunches and licked himself and just overall made sure the house was in order.  We really appreciate everything these dogs do for us.

I was super wound up so I decided to go for a run.  3 ridiculously hot miles later, I was out of energy and had to recoup with a delicious Muscle Milk.

Riley Bear was super exhausted from her walk around the block so she wanted a sip.

This past job beat me down so much that I was scared I was going to need therapy to recover.  I’m running a 15k tomorrow morning that should help a ton.  Nothing like hot sweaty endorphins to turn that frown upside down.  YAY FOR QUITTING!

I just have to make sure I don’t end up like Tyrone.

Congrats! I quit my job in February of 2009 with only one client. It sounded stupid and crazy at the time but turned out to be the best thing I ever did. Can’t wait to see what amazing things are in store for you!

I quit my job 5 years ago. I’d been there 22 years. I felt SO liberated. then i went back to work for another bank…..a MUCH MUCH. MUCH. better one where you are treated like a human being. I love my new bank (5 years new, and STILL loving it!!)
Wish the same for you…….a job where you don’t cuss the alarm when it goes off, or hit snooze 13 times before you get out of bed. I’m there now, and loving it.
