Momofuku Milk Bar – NYC

You know the milk leftover after you’ve eaten your bowl of cereal?  A lot of people drink it because they think it is most delicious.  I am not one of those people.  And yet, I found this cereal milk ice cream at Momofuku Milk Bar to taste AMAZING!   After they prepare your soft serve cup, they offer to add some home made corn flakes for extra dollaz.  We went here twice and on the second trip they had a blueberry miso flavor.  It sounded crayzay but I had to try it.  It tasted like a salty sweet blueberry frozen miso soup.  In a cup.  With corn flakes.  Trust me, try this.

I’m fat so I also picked up a corn cookie, strawberry lemon cake truffles and a piece of crack pie.

I’ve heard rave reviews of the crack pie but I was not impressed.  It was way too sweet (maybe because I just had ice cream?) and for the price I expected way better.

The strawberry lemonade cake truffle was 100 times sweeter than the crack pie.  Way too much.  Result?  Go for the ice cream and you’ll be happy.

Crack pie tasted like a stick of butter with that creme brûlée caremelized sugar around it. Cereal milk ice cream on the other hand was the bar that all other ice cream will be measured with.
