Let’s get to the big news first as I’m sure you’re all on pins and needles. I got a job!!! Picture this: five minute commute, no dress code, working with a bunch of monkeys. HOW COULD I NOT TAKE IT?!?!

Enzo and Riley were stoked about the news as you can see from their big smiles. They look cute don’t they? Don’t let the adorableness fool you. Because of these clowns I now have the legs of a 90-yr-old (no offense, Grandma) from running so much.

The good news is, a run with the mutts results in extended nap times.

To celebrate my big life changing event, JayJay took me to dinner at the new Twisted Root Burger Co at the Shops at Legacy.

Excellent signage.

I went with a turkey burger and some goat cheese with a side order of sweet potato chips. The turkey burger does not have a lot of flavor but whatever goat cheese they use is SO SOFT, CREAMY AND AWESOMEGARBL! It totally takes over the taste of the burger and I love it. The sweet potato chips were a sugary disaster. I swear the Twisted Root in Deep Ellum doesn’t put sugar on their chips and if they do it must have been very subtle but these were doused with it and way too sweet. I wish they had sweet potato fries (hello, there’s a fry revolution going on, catch up!).

JayJay the Network Engineering Wonder had a Western Burger topped with bacon, cheese, onion rings and jalapenos with a side of straight cut fries. This guy knows how to order. The onion rings were awesome. So were the fries. The fries were seasoned with something awesome that wasn’t sugar. How novel.

If you’re feeling saucy, they offer homemade sauces to top your burgers with or for dipping your fried sides. Like Arby’s! But different.

Let’s talk ambiance. We sat on the patio across from Gordon Biersch and RA Sushi and next to Cafe Istanbul because we thought it would be fun to count the number of Affliction shirts we could spot. The patio felt more like a deck and had huge trees with hanging tree ornaments including a monkey trap.

I need this for my desk at work.

If you want some awesome people watching, hang out by RA Sushi. There is no better entertainment than watching cougars go after fauxhawked d-nozzles over appletini’s. How do you think I got Jason?

The Twisted Root boys once again went all out with decoration. There are signs everywhere instructing you where to go and what to do but be careful as they can be tricky. The door says “push” but it has a handle so you should probably “pull.” They seem to mix some Dick’s Last Resort attitude with a twist of southern charm. It works for ‘em. I’ll definitely go back to Twisted Root but I won’t get the sweet potato chips and I will make sure someone else opens the doors.

Because of this stinkin chair, I got a craving for dessert and Paciugo just happened to be right across the street.

We both ordered up a double of sea salted caramel gelato because we like to be cutesy and match.

The first few bites hit the spot. Then it all started to melt…FAST. And they give you a toddler spoon to eat it with so I couldn’t gulp it down fast enough before it melted. Waaaaahhhhh. It’s probably a good thing though because that milk hit my stomach like a ton of bricks. Have I told you guys I’m lactose intolerant? It’s pretty cool. My mom says there are pills I can take but when I constantly complain about stomach aches I feel important. So, who’s up for ice cream later?

We got a recommendation from Jason’s co-worker to try out Z Grill for dinner. He said it’s the best legit Pakistani food in town. Please go to their website right now. Even if you don’t plan on eating there, go to their website and check out the awesomeness. Someone created that. There is so much untapped talent out there it’s ridiculous. Anyways, what confused me about Z Grill was that they advertise Philly Cheesesteaks and Steak Burgers on their windows and menu. That’s all part of the allure though.

We ordered a plate of Chicken Biryani. Underneath that pile of rice is hidden chicken still on the bone. It was like an early Easter Egg Hunt only the eggs already hatched into chicken legs! It was good but the other dish we got put it to shame.

The Chicken Kahari is the reason you need to go to Z Grill. This Pakistani curry dish with tomatoes, onions and garlic was some of the best I’ve ever had.

The entrees came with plain naan but we like to go crazy wild so we ordered some garlic naan as well.

The garlic naan had bits of garlic cooked into it and was chewy doughy perfection. If you’re on a first date, definitely order this. It will determine whether you can see any good qualities past hideous breath.

The Clean Plate Club had a vote and it turns out I was elected President of Domination.

Do you prefer Indian or Pakistani food? Can you tell the difference? I kind of think it would be funny to start World War III over a plate of curry LOL j/k. Srsly don’t fight. It’s just food. You’re right, Pakistani food is better.

Note: Went back to Z Grill today for lunch buffet. We hit the end of it so there wasn’t a lot of food left but it was still good. Next time I am ordering off the menu though. And it might just be a Philly Cheesesteak.

When we were leaving Little Gus Cafe a few weekends ago, we spotted an Indian joint that we decided we needed to try. Indian Flavours serves Gujarati Thali. Gujahuh? Let me explain. Gujarati refers to western Indian food (where it is mostly vegetarian) and Thali is a selection of different dishes usually served in round bowls on a tray. Yelp reviewers said it was some of the best Gujarati food in D/FW. When I want Gujarati, I want the best. Plus, if you’re thirsty, you can get water next door! Win/win.

I should go ahead and tell you that if you are like me (not Indian)(not vegetarian)(socially awkward) then you should probably study the menu beforehand so you don’t look like a total FOB nerdlet when ordering.

Jasmati and I rolled with two combo’s and a side order of onion pakora. I also got a mango lassi to wash it down.

The mango lassi was very refreshing as some of the items were pretty dang spicy. They give you a cup of buttermilk to help alleviate the burn but I would rather drink a case of Four Loko.

We enjoyed everything on our platter except this pickle experiment. I’m not sure how they pickle in India but it might involve battery acid? Windex? Buttermilk? It was like solid vinegar and I’ont like that.

Below was some sort of yogurty junk I presume also to help put out the fire. It wasn’t something I wanted in a half gallon jug with a big spoon while I watched the Bachelor.

The hush puppy biscuit was really good. Not sure what was in it. I’m an awesome food critic huh? To the right of the biscuit was a delicious rice pudding mixture. Perfect to end the meal with. Except I started with it.

The cauliflower/pea mixture and lentil surprise were the two spicy culprits. I think the family and the chef were probably watching us from the kitchen laughing at how we reacted to each part of the Thali.

Each Thali is served with some papadum and roti for dipping. Luckily we also got plastic silverware too. Although bread spoons are more fun.

The soup (dal?) was pretty good too.

Our most favorite part of the meal was the onion pakora with cilantro chutney dipping sauce. The breading was very light and delicious and perfectly seasoned. To be honest, I totally would have enjoyed the onion rings without the chutney but it did add a bonus flavor.

Jason’s combo came with a roti pancake with candied butter of some sort. The bread itself was pretty bland but when you took a bite with the sweet rock candy on top it was delicious. How do they think of these things?!?!

Overall impression of Indian Flavours? I would definitely go again but I would order something other than the combo platter. Probably get a couple sabji’s, pakora’s, bhaji’s, a dahi wada and maybe a lilva kachori (if I’m in the mood). Unfortunately for Indian Flavours, we discovered Z Grill (Pakistani) right down the street and we LOVED IT. Review to come.

I had a dream the other night that someone opened a restaurant attached to a gas station in East Plano and sold dollar tacos. The restaurant looked like an old diner from the outside and the waitstaff was super friendly and I could either get tres leches cake for dessert or go next door to the convenience store and get a Twix bar. I woke up from my dream and could still smell the cilantro and fresh onion. You know on Pawn Stars how the pawn shop owner has a bunch of friends he calls to see if things are legit? Like he has an autograph friend and an aviation museum friend and a pre-1950′s guitar friend? Well I have a food dream friend and his name is YELP. Sure enough, I checked with my friend YELP and mother of dollar tacos IT WASN’T A DREAM AT ALL!

My dear Garblers, Chito’s is the type of place you dream of. It really is attached to a gas station on Legacy Dr. between Alma and 75. It really sells dollar tacos. And it really is good.

Is it not the most adorable place? It’s like an old diner with futbol on the big screens.

In my dream, the menu looked different. It had a flying three legged donkey screaming “Ole!” across the top. But the real menu is cute too.

Realistically, I could have ordered water and three chicken tacos for $3 and been completely full because I could eat two baskets of their chips and salsa by myself. Their salsa is damn good. It’s fresh. Like DJ Pauly D’s shoes right as the cabs are here fresh.

I ordered a diet coke but they only had diet pepsi on tap or diet coke in the bottle. It was too big of a decision so I ordered a tall glass of Horchata instead ($3). They sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top for extra sweetness. It was delicious no doubt but really sweet and was not the perfect pairing for my tacos. Definitely should have gone with the carbonated beverage.

We ordered a side of guac ($2.25) to start and it was exactly that – a side of guac. Not meant for dipping. It’s an optical illusion because it is served atop a bed of lettuce. In my dream, the guacamole was served like a chocolate fountain.

Look at the adorable napkin holder! Their restaurant logo is a cactus man. In my dream I married cactus man but every time we hugged it hurt so I had to dump him for jicama man

Only bad part of our meal – the shrimp cocktail. There wasn’t an ounce of spice in this tall glass and it was way too runny. A good shrimp cocktail should be thick, have tons of fresh shrimp, tons of avocado chunks, fresh cilantro and a good kick from jalapenos. For $8.99 I was no impresso.

The dollar tacos were legit. Taqueria El Paisano No 1 still holds a place in my heart for best dollar tacos in Dallas but Chito’s is now my No 2 spot. We got two of each kind: chicken, el pastor (pork), beef and barbacoa (sometimes cow head! yum!). The chicken was my favorite.

They bring you a tomatillo salsa and a red salsa to add flavor to the tacos. The tomatillo salsa was a wee bit bland but the tacos really don’t need any more flavor aside from the fresh lime juice, onion and cilantro.

Can someone wipe the drool off my mouf?

Do yourself a favor and squeeze the lime all over your tacos. Then rub your eyes.

Despite the nightmare that was the shrimp cocktail, I am so glad my Chito’s food dream was a reality. And I can’t wait to go to New York with Jicama man.

Hey Foodgarblers! Wanna know what I did today? OKAY! We woke up at the crack of noon (What? You don’t stay up til 4am watching the Gem Shopping Network?) and we were starving so we leashed up the hounds and went for a 2 mile walk to Einstein’s for a bagel. I had the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich on a 7 grain bagel. Or was it 9 grain? THE NUMBER OF GRAINS IS SO IMPORTANT! It was delicious. Also went next door for a soy chai latte.

We felt bad for eating in front of the dogs so we took them to a new dog bakery a few doors down called Three Dog Bakery. If you have a dog and you live near Plano, take your dog here. The people are so incredibly nice and they gave Enzo and Riley a sample treat which they glommed in about two nanoseconds. I looked in their specialty treat counter and they make huge bone cookies with custom icing for dog parties. Yes, I said dog parties. Something Jason made me swear I would never have. At the time, I may have pressed the liar button.

After our four mile walk we separated to do his and her things. Jason worked on Opra (nickname for his Acura NSX) and I went grocery shopping for dinner.

I walked into the garage, saw the front bumper off and asked him what in the Sam Blazes he was doing. He said he put on a Stmpo front chassis bar to increase safety in a front end collision. That was comforting. Then he softly added, “It also helps take a sweeping corner at 90+ mph.” So that’s reassuring.

While he continued to work on “safety issues” I got started on dinner. Dinner post to follow…(get excited if you like tuna)

I want to share with you something magical. Something Malaysian. Give me a map right now and I could not point out Malaysia. Nor could I point out Kentucky but we’re not talking about fried chicken. After dining at Blue Ginger Garden, I have concluded that Malaysian Cuisine is off the hizzy. It seems to be a mix of Thai, Indian and Chinese. Maybe throw a heaping tablespoon of Vietnamese in there for good measure. THE FOOD WAS RIDONK GOOD!

When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by one of the owners. While we perused the menu, the other owner (chef) came out and introduced herself and gave us an overview of the menu. It is clear that this is a family run restaurant and they are trying their hardest to get it off to a good start. I’ll tell you what, I’m sold.

We started off with a glass of Teh Tarik (literally “pulled tea”). Esther the owner recommended this. She also gave an explanation of what it meant but there was a minor language barrier so at one point I thought she was trying to play a harp. Teh Tarik is made from black tea and condensed milk and tasted very similar to chai.

The interior of Blue Ginger Garden is very intimate. There is even a private room inside where you can throw a wild party. You could even give away wild rice as a party favor. I know, I should have been a party planner.

For appetizer number one, we started with Spring Rolls served with chili dipping sauce. They were not your average spring rolls. I’m a bad food blogger and forgot to take a mental note of what was inside but rest assured it was not simply cabbage and shredded carrot. Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure there was crab in there. Whatever it was, they were only $2.50!!

PAY ATTENTION! Appetizer number two was CWAZY GOOD! The roti canai (Indian pancake) also came highly recommended and for good reason. The Indian style flatbread was served with a curry dipping sauce on the side that included a piece of chicken on the bone. I wish this was served as an entree with a slightly bigger portion. This was only $2.75!!

My future husbandgarbl ordered the Flat Rice Noodle in Creamy Egg Sauce (Wat Tan Hor). Haha, he ordered Hor. The noodles were stir-fried with shrimp, squid, pork and vegetables. On the bottom were surprise crispy noodles to give it a crunch. This dish was phenomenal. We can’t wait to go back and get it again. And again. And then maybe again.

Red bowl. Rice. Black spoon. Alicia Keys. Unicorns. Thumbprint.

I needed my veggies so I opted for the Mixed Curry Vegetables with Tofu Puff. I love magic dragons and I love tofu. Combine the two and you get this monstrosity. PEOPLES: the tofu and veggies in this dish were cooked perfectly! I was treated to eggplant, red bell pepper, okra, red hot chili pepper, cabbage and tofu puff in a coconut milk red curry. The chili peppers gave it the perfect amount of heat. If I hadn’t stuffed my face with egg roll and roti canai, I wouldn’t have been a big pansy and had half of this wrapped up to go. Actually, the entrees here are huge so it is a good idea to share.

Here is a close up of the huge chunks of eggplant and tofu. At one point the owner had to run down to the grocery store (he literally ran – there is a Tom Thumb at the corner of the shopping center) to go get more vegetables. Now that’s what I’m talkin about.

I am definitely going back here. I might even go back this week. They are closed Mondays which is a bummer because I really wanted to start Malaysian Monday Madness. Oh well. There’s always Moroccan. One minor complaint: I ordered two Diet Cokes and they charged me $1.50 per can. No fountain service here. But I’m gonna give up soda soon so that won’t be a problem. I said that last year.

I’m only slightly embarrassed to say that we went to get dessert afterward. Look, I’m a professional food blogger. Sometimes I must stretch my stomach out for your benefit. You’re welcome. We heard about a place called Crepes for U on Yelp. It is located in the Asia World Market grocery store in Plano. Please go to the website. I’ll give you a minute to take it in. Now, go to www.zombo.com. Right? Are you with me?! You can do anything at zombocom. Monkey monkey crepes for who? Am I in the twilight zone?

After walking in to Crepes for U, we were greeted by Paul, the owner. Paul asks me about my fancy camera and I tell him I am Chief Garbling Officer of Foodgarbl.com. I asked him if I could take a few photos and he got nervous thinking I was a crepe concept stealer (CCS). I assured him all I wanted to do was Garbl so he gave in. Besides, who could resist my adorable mug? I ordered the Cocoro Crepe with banana, fresh cream and hazelnut chocolate sauce.

Paul is a master in crepe making. He can multi-task too. While making my Cocoro Crepe we talked about food blogging and Tei An Restaurant in One Arts Plaza. He said I should try it. He loves to talk about food. He even said at one point, “you have no idea who you just met.” I wasn’t sure if that meant he’s with the Crepe Mafia or if he wants to be my food BFF. Either way I was kinda nervous. Should I make our friendship Facebook official yet?

Notice the squiggle pattern. Paul has an uncanny artistic talent. OH. Forgot. He asked how I wanted my crepe cooked. Here is my confusion. I like soft crepes. That’s the only way I’ve ever had them. I also like powdered sugar on them. Paul recommended medium cooked crepe because it was my first time. He also told me to hold the crepe like a taco when I eat it out of the snowcone. I never knew crepes could be so complicated.

Jason just got back from Tokyo where he said every restaurant had their menu items in plastic outside so you can see what you’ll be ordering. Crepes For U also had them! Nostalgic.

I expected a soft crepe with a Nutella spread and sprinkled with powdered sugar for garnish. Instead I got a well done crepe taco in a snowcone. I r confuse?

Paul showed us pictures from Halloween where costumed hooligans came in for Crepe tacos. Bunny Baby, Crepes for U. Auk.

Loyal foodgarbl reader Janice told me today there is a crepe joint at Northpark. I’m going to have to make a trip and do a comparison. My reader(s) are amazing.

FINALLY! I’ve read about Season’s 52 on every food blog in North America and they just opened in Plano! Friday was surprise date night so I told Jason to get his best Autumn sweater on because we were about to get our Foodgarbl on at a classy establishment. Thanks to some awesome perks at work where I earn health reward points for jumping on a trampoline 4 times a month (no joke – trampoline jumping is an option), I was able to purchase a new Canon Rebel T1i digital camera and I AM OBSESSED. The following pics are from my new toy. Let’s get to dinner at Season’s 52 shall we?

Season’s 52 opened their Texas location at the Shops at Legacy. It’s where the fancy people eat. And where non-fancy people crash parties. I am a party crasher. We walked in reservation-less around 8:00pm. The hostess told us there would be an hour and a half wait for a table in the dining room or we could hang out in the bar and have a glass of wine because the bar area tables are first come first serve. I bet you can guess where we went.

We were surrounded by couples sipping glasses of wine and pretending to talk about stocks and Lamborghini engines while Jason and I planned our booth attack. Forty minutes later and we see a table of 4 getting up to leave. Somehow Jason was already sitting in the booth before I could even nudge him. I’m engaged to Houdini. At least during our 40 minute wait we got to hear the piano player sing along to Radiohead’s “Creep.” Our waiter came over and spotted the Canon camera sitting on the table. We had obsessive compulsive service the rest of the night. Since it was our first time dining at Season’s 52, our waiter explained that everything on the menu is under 475 calories. Also, the menu changes 4 times a year with the seasons. Since it is Autumn, we could expect to find Autumn-like things infused in the menu. Looking back on our meal, I don’t think we took advantage of those things with the exception of Jason’s mashed sweet potatoes. Seasons fail

We started off with the Artichoke & Goat Cheese Flatbread as well as the edamame with green tea salt. Both genius moves. The flatbread was so thin but chocked full of artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, delicious goat cheese, caramelized onions and leaf spinach. It was awesome.

I obviously haven’t mastered taking pictures in low light yet but I’d say it’s a step up from the ol’ iPhone eh?! The edamame was perfectly cooked and the green tea salt was a unique dipping powder that elevated the edamame to a new level.

I probably could have stopped eating after the appetizers but if I was only at a maximum of 950 calories, I obviously had to keep going. So, I ordered the Caramelized Sea Scallops with roasted asparagus and sundried tomato pearl pasta.

Jason went with the Venison chops off of the weekly special menu. BAMBI CHOPS! I almost started crying. They were served in a balsamic vinegar reduction (phenomenal) on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes with a side of green beans and asparagus. All five points for plating.

I don’t mean to scare you but we weren’t done yet. We ordered dessert. You can’t just not order dessert when they come in cute little sampler shot glasses. That’s like going to look at Vizsla puppies to pick ONE up for your boyfriend. And coming home with two. Zoops.

I think there were eight dessert options but we opted for the key lime pie, mocha macchiato, pumpkin pie with double gingersnap crust and meyer lemon pound cake goodness.

The only problem with these adorable glasses is that you have a hard time getting your money’s worth with just the spoon provided. Luckily, I improvised.

After we had the first appetizer, Jason commented “this place has your name all over it.” He’s right. I loved everything about our meal and will definitely be back. The menu is a little pricey but it is definitely worth it. Plus, I plan on milking as many engagement celebration dinners as I can until Jason figures out what I’m doing. What? I’m excited about getting married! REALLY excited. SO excited I’m hungry again.

Everybody’s got ‘em – your neighborhood Italian restaurant run by a family transplanted from New York. Ours is called Fino’s. Fino’s is the type of place where I expect the fat Italian chef to come out of the kitchen and kiss me on both cheeks and ask if my grandmother found her pants and why I haven’t been by in so long. It’s the type of place where if I don’t see something on the menu or I’m feeling a little cwazy I can say “Hey Angelo, how bout you whip me up some pasta and veggies eh?!” To which Angelo replies, “Anything for you! Que Sara Sara!” And he kisses me on both cheeks again. Sure, it’s awkward but he’s Italian so it’s okay.

My experience at Fino’s went nothing like this. We walk up to the door and there are a few couples enjoying their dinner on the makeshift patio. One couple even had their adorable black Labrador with them. It’s 110 degrees out and it’s an Italian restaurant but okay, I like dogs toos. Jason glanced at the specials written on a stand when we walked in but he said they “didn’t look like English” so he got scared and kept walking. I know, words are scary.

No one seated us or even made an attempt to acknowledge our presence so we sat ourselves at an open table. We sat there for about five minutes before someone brought us menus and asked for our drink order. About 15 minutes later a waitress came to take our order. I wasn’t 100% sold on anything from the menu so I asked what the specials were to make sure I wasn’t missing something. She said, “oh shoot, um, hang on,” then walked away. We never talked to her again. About 8 minutes later a waiter came by and said, “you want to know about the specials?” He rattled off some Italian jibberish none of which I could repeat again so I went with the lobster ravioli. Jason ordered the fettuccine con pollo and we asked if we could split a salad.

The salad was $4.99 and was supposed to include pears, gorgonzola cheese and pine nuts drizzled in a balsamic glaze. There were no pine nuts. We paid for pine nuts! The lobster ravioli was pretty good. Then again, so are most things that are drenched in butter sauce. Jason liked his chicken fettuccine which also happened to be drenched in butter sauce. The reviews for this place on Yelp raved about their baked rolls. I’m here to tell you they are nothing to rave about. Bring it Yelpers! Foodgarbl vs. Yelp LET’S DO THIS.

Most people brought their own wine to dinner which for some reason is a perk. The perk was that we got to listen to the drunk couple next to us rant about their kid not being respected by his coach on his select soccer team. Do you know what they pay for Timmy to play on that team? He deserves more respect. They’re changing teams and there’s nothing Coach Rob can do about it.

If you have two hours to kick around for dinner and you want spotty service and you’re okay with Uncle Angelo hiding in the kitchen, give Fino’s a try. Otherwise, there’s a Sbarro at the mall and it’s a lot faster.

There was a hot dog spot on Lower Greenville a few years ago called Big D’s Dogs.

They had a thai chili lime dog (among other crazy inventions) that was redonkulous. They had cake batter shakes, Dublin Dr. Pepper floats and Italian sodas. Jerry Stackhouse ate there. They didn’t make it WHY DALLAS, WHY? I’ve been on the hunt for a good hot dog place ever since. If you are a member at Costco and you have cash on you, the $1.50 you have to fork over for one of their dogs and a drink isn’t a bad deal. But if you’re looking for something a little more upscale, head over to Everyone’s Frank at Coit/Park in Plano.

While they aren’t eclectic and off the wall like Big D’s Dogs, they do have gourmet hot dogs and sausage and the staff knows their wieners. I rolled with the sweet red pepper and basil chicken dog topped with sport peppers, sweet relish and Frank’s hot sauce. It had a simple, nice kick to it and the chicken was flavored quite nicely. I liked that they offered wheat buns because you know how I get about my buns. Side of sweet potato fries was just aight. They were seasoned with salt and pepper like normal fries but sometimes I just want my taters plain.

My personal trainer/computer whisperer/hot date ordered two hot dogs because he is a champion. Behold the bratwurst and the plain hot dog with onion rings:

I thought the bratwurst would be bigger. That’s what she said.

The verdict? They were good and he would go again. So, we weren’t blown away by Everyone’s Frank since we can go to Whole Foods and buy a whole package of organic chicken sausage and make them ourselves. But it’s nice to know there’s an option in town in case we don’t feel like driving to Whole Foods.

Note to Frank: Simplify your menu. I sat there like an Arabian Rock Ape going “derrrrrr” for five minutes before I narrowed down what I wanted on my dog. Also, Frank, salad dressings?

I’m happy to report that our cycling training is right on target. We busted out 50 miles yesterday and although I can’t feel my legs today, we’re confident that we’re ready for Shammies ‘n Koozies.

BONUS UPDATE: The interstate Kleenex gang has now teamed up with the Pants gang (west side!) and they are going strong. Do not lose eye contact with your Kleenex or you bet your a$$ they’ll go missing too.

I’ll get to the criminal activity later but I need to alert all Foodgarbl readers (Up to 4 now! Thanks mom!) to my latest obsession: LOX. I stopped at Einstein Bagels on my way to work this morning because anything that prevents me from getting to work early makes me happy. I didn’t want the usual sugary bagel with cream cheese or those retarded poppers so I decided to surprise the ol’ boyfriend and myself with a whole wheat bagel with lox, capers and plain cream cheese. SHUT UP it was good. I dropped the surprise off at boyfriend’s place of work and received the following email: “Thank you for my breakfast surprise!! that was ferking bamf and perfect timing because I was out of cereal this morning. You are best girlfriend ever ” So sweet. Here’s the iphone shot in between freezing up and apps crashing:

Got It on Lox Down

Let’s get to lunch. Great American Hero. Lamegarbl. Let’s get to post work run. 5 mile hilly route. It’s hotter than Keanu Reeves on a motorcycle outside but I felt great thanks to the great mix of my favorite rap songs going. It’s hard to stay so fresh, like I do. Since I waited for it to cool down a bit, I didn’t get home from my run until 9pm. And we had a minor problem with clean dishes:

I'm in dishwasher timeout

We bought a huge bottle of dishwashing soap at Costco but it was not for the dishwasher. I didn’t put it in the cart but I did put it in the dishwasher so I took the blame. But back to dinner. The food options around here for late night are bleak so we ended up going to…Raising Cane’s.

Well, so much for my run. My organs are failing, my heart is clogged and I might need to use my foam roller to soothe my cankles. If you know me at all you know I hate fast food. I don’t eat it. Ever. The smell makes me cringe. The sight of the food makes me question my contacts prescription. Raising Cane’s has a feel good story about the owner having an idea for a chicken finger chain that got shot down in his college class. He ended up saving up enough money to open the first location and it became a hit. I don’t know why. I wish people would realize this food is the reason why we are lagging behind every other country with the exception of eating contests. Bad example. Kobayashi for President. Here’s the slop:

The ketchup comes from tomatoes which are a fruit which are healthy.

I will not be back. I miss my vegetables. I just want a healthy fast food chain to open. Is that too much to ask? Do I have to do it myself? Fine. Any investors out there?
